The term intellectual capital, in global competitions, has been used to deal with the intangible assets of countries and organizations as their value added resources in recent years. As a modern scientific tools, the identification and use of this capital and also its subsidiaries including structural capital, customer capital, and human capital are used to improve countries and organizations entrepreneurship, and to reach to a competitive state. The aim of this research is identifying capabilities and competitive advantages of Iran hand knotted carpet in global markets in comparison to the known intellectual capital branches. A qualitative analytic approach and library based data collection were the research methods used in the present study. To put it in a nutshell, findings demonstrate that there are many advantages in producing and exporting hand-knotted Persian rugs, identifying and utilizing these capacities as the national artisticindustrial intellectual capital in a correct way, will help preserve and improve its position in the global markets. This research recommend that the carpet organization managers, with the support of the construction of carpet weaving complexes, provide the opportunity to utilization of the intellectual capital assets of Iran hand knotted carpets.
